Communications Coordinator Award
Presented to Erin Klaesius

California Biodiversity Council co-chairs Mary D. Nichols (Secretary for Resources, California Resources Agency) and Mike Pool (California State Director, Bureau of Land Management) presented a special award to Erin Klaesius at the July 30 Council meeting in Sacramento

For the past three years, Erin has served as the Communications Coordinator for the Biodiversity Council, yet she will be moving on this fall. Secretary Nichols made the following remarks for the Council:

“We want you to know how much the entire Council appreciates everything you have done for us. Your brought us a strong background in environmental science and biodiversity issues which allowed you to quickly engage in the substance, and not just the logistics, of the CBC. Your attention to detail has led to flawless logistics for our meetings.

“You also produced many excellent editions of the California Biodiversity News. And you have kept the Executive Committee and staff team organized, productive, and on time.

“As you move on to new challenges, please remember how much we value you and will miss you at our events. You will always be welcome to join us any time you are close—we hope that will be often. Thank you for everything you have done.”
