Next CBC Meeting to Identify Ways to Promote Watershed Management in California

On October 22 and 23, 2003, the California Biodiversity Council will gather in Sacramento to discuss watershed management in California and ways in which CBC member agencies can help these efforts. Watershed groups will update the Biodiversity Council on watershed activities throughout the State. The results of the California Watershed Council will be discussed and ways that federal agencies can become involved will be discussed. And finally, the Council will discuss ways in which local, state, and federal agencies can work together to more effectively and efficiently provide services to promote watershed management and local groups.

Before the CBC meets on October 23, a half-day field trip will supplement the meeting. A trip to discuss and observe the results of local watershed planning will be scheduled the afternoon of Wednesday, October 22. Further agenda information, as well as registration materials, will be available on the CBC website at http://ceres.ca.gov/biodiv/meetings.html.
