ELKHORN SLOUGH National Estuarine
Research Reserve, a coastal wetland off
Monterey Bay, is owned by the Department
of Fish and Game and managed in cooperation
with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA). Fish and Game also
owns the Moss Landing Wildlife Area within
the slough.
